It was a deluge

The rain started during the night and just kept on coming down.

It wasn't until this morning

It wasn’t until this morning that we discovered there was a rainfall warning in effect.

Certainly lots of rain. The drain in front of us could not handle the amount.

The ducks seemed confused and moved up from the lake to the road.

Even their feet were submerged on the road.

By the time my huge pot of delicious lentil soup was ready there were a few rays of sun in the sky.  I plan to freeze some for our road trip end of the month.  Tomorrow is a whole new day with mostly sunny in the forecast. Question is, is that enough to have Colin get out and do one of many jobs currently on hold due to weather?  We shall see what the morning brings.

I haven’t found out the reason why I was born yet.  Such a quest 😐

  1. We stopped into a business on Bay Street this morning and their roof drains had backed up and flooded the roof. When the water found a place to find it’s lowest point it was right through the processing room at Urban Distilleries. Quite the mess.

  2. Cute ducks…so funny being confused – it’s like water, water everywhere and not a drop to drink…LOL

  3. Boy, we sure could use some of that rain here! It is dry as a bone here at our park.

We would have been happy to share. Our lake is quite low already and will get lower. Less snow this winter so less runoff to the lake.

Wow, that’s some serious rain. Snuggle up with the girls and a good book!

Happy Victoria Day and all it means to Canadians

Thanks Sandy. The holiday was made official in 1953 to honor Queen Victoria but really is an excuse for a long weekend. Unofficially it signifies that start of summer.

I guess when it rains it pours, just like here 🙂 Is your road trip by car or motorhome?

We’ve had a lot of rain here in parts of Texas too. I feel like I’m getting web feet but our lakes in central Texas are still very low. In north Texas and southern Oklahoma, the lakes are now full.

    Contessa,
Regarding your comments on the Mark Twain quote you posted recently:
May I recommend the book “In Search of the True Light” by Mike Shreve. If you are a true truth seeker, you may find this book interesting at least and life-changing at best.
