Up to my ears

Actually in over my head.  Have been getting conflicting info ( as in not correct information and advice ) from law clerks, assistants and the lawyer who wrote Dad’s will.  Something came to light today that is not what Dad had meant to have in his will.  It was not explained at the time he signed it ( I was there when he did ) and now we have to go to the courts once more to make a change.  Probate was denied twice before it was finally approved and now this.

I was willing to fire the current lawyer a few hours ago and deal with it all on my own but Colin said no, it would only be worse.

So hence no blog posts till I stop pulling my hair out.

Sorry for more stress in your life. Hoping the problem will be solved soon. Sharon

  2. Good luck.
Sometimes life gets in the way of blogging.

Ah shucks… grab a bottle of wine, put your feet up, skip the glass as it won’t be needed… drink from the bottle, why dirty a glass when you don’t have to…. Hang in there, lawyers are like politicians, PITA’s.

  4. They might be PITA’s, but for some reason they are a necessary evil. Good luck with the latest boondoggle. My folks wills were written in the early 70’s and that creates it’s own issues a few years ago…

  5. UGH! That really sucks, no other words for it. Sometimes the people you pay to help you with these things are complete idiots but it is likely too late to get assistance from someone else at this point.

Sorry to read this Contessa, I was so much luckier when doing my mumsie’s probate. Five years later I still have four boxes of her treasures in my garage and a loads of papers and documents to finally sort through. It just never ends. Good advice about having a glass or five of vino blance!
    Take care.
