Canadian West Coast Seafood Evening
Held on Superbowl Sunday, Feb. 6! Guess who had top billing???
We were treated to a spectacular dinner of West Coast Canadian fish…thanks to Bob & Bonnie, Ken & Pat, Joseph & Susan, Brent & Donna, Mike & Kitty, Roger & Susie, all West Coast residents when not here on the Isla!
I understand that the wine and there was plenty of it, was compliments of Harrison Cove Lodge, the fishing lodge where the salmon was caught. Mucho gracias for the wine from all of us. Be sure to check out this great fishing venue in Canada or at least click on the link to see the some of Canada’s West Coast beauty. We are proud of what we have!!
As we ate the Super Bowl commenced. My Dad will be the first to tell you, I have no idea whatsoever re sports, even though he tried. He really did try but I just wasn’t into it. However earlier today I heard on TV that the Green Bay Packers were owned by the fans. People just bought a share, or several shares but this was no multi million dollar endeavor. Okay I thought, this is good and so they will be my team!!
I am so happy to say that “my team” won and yes I watched to the very end!! After a week of cold weather this really was a marvelous evening for our RV Park. I almost forgot to mention that the wind calmed down and it was an almost perfect outdoor event.

Wow looks like a great feast and a fun super bowl party. Can’t beat a seafood extravaganza. Glad to hear you are up and about and the weather is improving. We are on our way home as well 9 weeks to get there.
Thank,s for great pic,s of the wonderful sea food and salad,s put on by wonderful people from the west coast!! Rog,s camera is toast and I missed it by still being sick!!
Sea food & Super Ball……what a great combination.
Nice! I had frozen shrimp from Costco and dreamed of Mazatlan shrimp. I only get enthusiastic about football when my 15-year-old grandson is playing, but my youngest son is a rabid Steelers fan! Kind of quiet around our house last night-LOL!
Marty, these were no “ordinary” Mazatlan shrimp but Canadian West Coast shrimp. The hosts brought the shrimp here with them as well as all the rest of the fish. These shrimp did taste different, almost sweeter.
