A most relaxing 24 hours
We are still listening to my French Christmas music on Shaw’s Franco Fetes , channel 942 and I love it. Of course our lights are still on as well as our decorations still up. Not quite ready to take it down yet. I know that some of you take Christmas down on the 26th, you all have your traditions. What is the longest that you leave everything up?
Whatever you buy is only 5 pesos or 40 cents CAD or 29 cents USD. On the left is a light pastry filled with real pineapple filling, at the top right is something with a strawberry jam center. The bottom right is a large and thick chocolate chip cookie which has yet to pass the lips of any of us in this RV 😀 They are doing very well and as the response from the Isla has been promising they are already thinking of expanding. However to be honest, each day has different offerings and various hours of operation 😕
I am happy to say that I have vowed to not start a new novel until I have replied to all of my outstanding emails. As of right now I am down from 180 to 49 😛 One at a time, one hour at a time and baby steps….my new mantra.

One day at a time and it will be done.
Those pastries are excellent, love them,.
If we all lived like each day was our last we likely would have happier lives. Carmeh certainly seems to be enjoying these days. Plus another reason to enjoy pastry!
What’s the longest leaving everything up? Well, our artificial (naturally) Christmas tree has been up in our dining room for 8 years now. Reason -who knows but it makes the joyous season last forever!
A few years ago our tree was taken down on Cinco de Mayo, which seemed like the record to beat. Well, last year, it didn’t come down until early June. So this year, between our takedown record and my new fight with chronic fatigue, I decided we’d skip the decorations. We’re never home anyway. It was an excellent decision!
OUR FAMILY TRADITION. DECEMBER 6 THRU JANUARY 6. LIGHTS ON DEC 6TH WHICH IS THE FEAST DAY OF ST. NICKOLAS. ALWAYS GOT A PRESENT THAT DAY. LIGHTS OUT ON JANUARY 7TH. EPIPHANY IS JANUARY 6TH (12TH DAY OF CHRISTMAS) SO THE FOLLOWING DAY, IF PHYSICALLY ABLE, START TAKING THINGS DOWN BUT NO MORE LIGHTS PLUGGED IN EVEN IF DECORATIONS DON’T ALL GET TAKEN DOWN.
HAPPY NEW YEAR.
