More Que Pasa

Before we say adios to Carnival 2016 I want to share some very very exceptional still shots of the fireworks taken by someone who understands photography.  The link is here to see 16 fab photos.  Colin was wowed by some of them.

One of the 16 photos, just look at those colors.

Still on the subject of photography, the Tommie Gold Awards happened last Saturday and as usual Colin’s clients did very well.  He was happy that each client won at least one Gold in the categories they entered, some more.  This is excellent news for us as this is great promotion for us re ongoing photography jobs once we get home 😆

One of my readers, David, from the Chelan WA area wanted to make sure that I was aware what he was enduring while we dealt with the sun and heat.  That looks like lots of snow which is why we have become snowbirds 🙂  Hang in there David, it will melt….eventually.

I have to say that daily posting is a huge chore what with waiting and waiting and waiting as I sit and watch and watch and hope for the page to load. I don’t think it is my WordPress site but more the RV park internet being slowed by many people using internet to Skype, to send photos and to Facetime ( whatever that means ).  All know is that is slows me down.  Likely there are some streaming movies…… 🙁   Of course there is also my very ancient desktop computer but it is doing much better since I did some surgery.

Some nights such as yesterday the sunset is beyond description. We are so very fortunate to be here year after year.

  2. When the internet is real slow I will post really early in the morning when I get up shortly after 4, it is usually pretty decent speeds until about 6 am then slows down for most if the day in some areas.
That’s cause most people are still sleeping at that time.

Great advice but never ever would I be getting up at 4AM, that is the middle of the night, Often I am not in bed till after 11PM. I have noticed that if I start to post when everyone else is out it does make a difference. I guess I need to get more strategical.

Awesome pics of the fireworks and great that Colin’s clients did so well at the Tommie Gold Awards.

I wouldn’t know what Facetime is either, but my son sent me an iPad a couple of years ago just so he could Facetime with me. It is basically the same as Skype (talking face to face) but both people have to be using an Apple product.

I agree those firework shots were fab. For certain next year we will go. Well I guess there is no one I would Facetime with so all is well.

  4. What a beautiful sunset shot! It was 18 degrees Celcius in Tofino yesterday but we are just the other side of the island and it was about 4 degrees – no snow though!

I quite liked that shot also. Can’t believe the diff from where you are to Tofino. Nature is amazing. Tonite as I type this at 8:30PM it is 77F outside our door with 71% humidity.

Death Valley morning report states the flowers are starting to explode. I’m not waiting till summer for a trip. The Samurai is headed to the shop on Tuesday for a pre=trip check.

Finish with the dentist and doctors by the end of the month…and off I go!!!
I’ll talk to you later about getting together for a visit on your way home or later this summer.

I would love to visit your area. I’ve only been to Vancouver..Whistler skiing..and Victoria, and that was just for a day, when I was 14 or something…Too far back to remember..

Highway 97 is a great road trip on both sides of our border. I’m sure many aren’t aware of it.
