Beach time

Every now and then we see a horse being trained directly in front of us on the beach.  They do work them hard, having them go around and around in a tight circle.  I missed getting a photo of that as my camera just would not open.

It finally worked once the horse was moved into the water.

The exercise was continued but not as aggressively. I believe that the intent was to cool the horse.

We haven't seen many herons this season as compared to years past.

This beauty was standing directly in front of our site. Love the zoom lens on my Canon.

The girls are going to miss their daily beach time.

So will Colin and I.  Not just being on the beach but sitting and watching all the activity both on the beach and in the ocean.

We leave in just 15 sleeps 😥

The camera sometimes isn't fast enough.....here Carmeh has her two back feet up off the sand.

Good news, Colin just got back from picking up my camera in Mazatlan and it appears to be repaired.  The fellow said that there was dust within the mechanism.  Even though we are very careful to keep the camera protected there is lots of dust in the air here on the Isla.  So now we just have to test the camera for the next few days to be certain it is functioning properly.  Repair cost was 150 pesos/11.16CAD/8.51USD,  you just have to love Mexico. I am fairly certain that I have saved myself a ton of money.  FYI it only cost Colin 76 pesos round trip ( you do the USD/CAD math 😀  ) traveling by lancha and pulmonia.

This was our spectacular sunset just this past Monday. It was another grey day but Mother Nature certainly made up for that at sunset. As seen thru the lens of my camera.....

:::sigh::: Fortunate, indeed! I just love the pictures of the girls with their little bellies in the water. So good to see Carmeh “kicking up her heels!”

I love the pics of the girls on the beach and the one of Carmeh running with her back feet off the sand is soooo cute. 🙂

WOW! It’s hard to believe you will be heading out in 2 weeks, but you have a beautiful place to look forward to when you return home.

15 sleeps, oh say it is not so!!! I so enjoy ‘our’ time in mexico and at the beach, Luci would never go in that water, no sireee.. love the pictures of the ‘girls’ of course, and the bird is wonderful…

  6. Your dogs are so cute on the beach. I bet they love all the freedom they have there. Glad your camera is back and working – here it is almost too costly to consider getting things fixed. Our 6 year old LG LCD TV in the bedroom died and rather than fix it we opted to buy new – because for the several hundred it would take to get it fixed it just isn’t worth it.
