Que pasa on the Isla!

Can you believe it?  We missed the whale!  Apparently there was a whale playing out in out bay a few days ago and we were out!  Life has been fairly quiet around here especially with the lack of cruise ship passengers visiting Stone Island.  There is one in today, the only one in this week.

This guy lives here and likes the quiet.

The fog was back this morning.  Most afternoons we are still getting a fair amount of wind.

This fellow started out in front of Carmelita's and went half way to Estrella!

No complaints from the locals, lots of wave action!

There is so much to keep us busy here on the Isla, we almost rarely cross over to Mazatlan.

There is no bank or ATM on the Isla but we can put pesos on our cell phones here.

Last week there was an impromptu baseball game between the locals and the rvers.  Lots of yelling and cheering.

If we run out of activities, we can watch Pablo painting the wall.

But there is so much to do….

Art lessons..

Yoga

Cleaning the awning with a power washer, can you see the before & after?

Watch this one try to figure out how to get the hummingbird nectar!

Or sometimes I just sit and watch my garden grow.

I love the color on these blossoms.

  1. What a lovely peacock! My goodness so much to do, I love arts and crafts. Baseball is a big Sunday event back at the ranch, I don’t see my husband all day unless I go to the games!

Thanks for your words to my daughter-in-law about safety. Sometimes I think there is a conspiracy to defame the good people of Mexico and put fear and suspicion in the hearts of Americans and Canadians. A whale, huh? Maybe we’ll luck out and see one.

  3. Always something to do, and always fun, the lifestyle just makes it happen. I never thought of a power washer for our awning, looks like it works pretty good, gotta try that, thanks.
