Updates and stuff
Caeli is clear of her infection but there are still some inflammatory cells hanging around that concerns the vet. She suggests that we do an ultrasound of her bladder as she is concerned as to what is the cause or we could just monitor Caeli closely. We are thinking about it. Meanwhile an hour ago I noticed that the single stitch re her cyst removal is sticking out at an odd angle. It may have slipped the knot. We go in at 10AM tomorrow to check it out.
I could have taken her in this afternoon ( Colin is working ) but I spent my time waiting for my window cleaner. I booked him last October for 8:30AM this morning and last week he changed it to 2PM today due to another large job. I finally called him 30 minutes ago @ 4:10PM and he is still not done but will ‘pop by’ after he does his booked 2 homes in the AM, perhaps about 1 – 2 PM 😥 I planned my entire day around him and now again tomorrow but he does a great job inside and out and the windows last a long time due to his 100% pure water cleaning technology. To think that he is so busy thanks to all the promotion we gave him way back in 2012 when he was starting out.
The Fort McMurray fire remains an extreme fire event. It is currently at 101,000 hectares and they say it can double within the next 24 hours. 88,000 people have been evacuated. 25,000 of those had gone north to the oil patch camps but now those are being evacuated at the fire has turned north. 8,000 were flown out yesterday and they hope to do the same today. Meanwhile a convoy of 1500 vehicles started the trek south at dawn this morning. Yesterday fuel trucks came to fill the vehicle tanks so they could leave. Another community was evacuated because of the fire and it has also had homes burn. The situation is dire and the officials say that the only thing that will put this monster file out is rain. Meanwhile firefighters and equipment from across Canada having been pouring into Alberta all day. Who knows when these people will get back and most won’t have a home to return to. The Canadian Government will match any personal donations made to the Red Cross until the end of May. Now is a good time to make a donation and double the value. People are opening their homes, their wallets and their hearts in Alberta. Pope Francis sent a letter saying how saddened he is by all the destruction and distress, that he is praying for the residents of Fort Mac.
Meanwhile I will stay out of the sun with sunscreen on. Oh well, I can still have fun. I realized the other day that I need a hat that I could keep on my head in the event of wind, especially if I want to get out kayaking and canoeing this summer so I ordered one today 😀

These girls of ours. So worrisome. Every day we have with Scooter is especially wonderful because she could cross the bridge at any time. Give your girls a big hug from me. Your face is beginning to look much better. Saw the smoke in Billings, MT picture. Not good. Lots of people’s lives are going to be destroyed.
