Helicopters and out of control
First off I am feeling much better. Amazing how following your chiro’s instructions makes a huge difference. The pain receded quickly and by Sunday PM I had a freedom of movement. I saw the chiro again on Monday and she showed me how my entire left side had twisted. More adjustments. I was supposed to continue with the cold and heat today but life interfered.
The used car I am wanting to buy is in Calgary and we got a call today that it was ready. So Colin had his brother Bob go check it out. He thought it was perfect. So we spent the rest of the day going back and forth and finally arranged for Colin to fly in on Friday at 8:15 AM ( that means leaving the house here at 4:30AM to get Colin to the airport ). He would give the car a detailed visual and then test drive it. If all was perfect then he would pay and drive the vehicle back here, about an 8 hour drive. Needless to say all the forms re provincial transfer and insurance stuff took most of the day. Of course I was not relaxing and icing, etc.
We had to go to the insurance office midday to pay for some transit insurance and fax that to Calgary. The hills were alive with the sound of helicopters. Actually we had been hearing them most of the day but we could see them from the insurance office. Sadly I did not have my camera with me.
Wow, what a visual. Helicopters were flying mere inches above the cherry orchards. We have had tons of rain and that is fatal to the cherry crop. The cherries split open and are no longer able to be sold. The helicopters blow the rain off the berries. Cherries are one of our major local crops. At $1000.00 per hour for a helicopter to hover and blow the water off the fruit is very expensive. How can these orchardists make any money?
Fortunately we were able to buy ten pounds of cherries on our way home from the insurance company. Tomorrow is supposed to be a sunny day weather wise but then the rains come again for day after day. Hopefully this is not the end of our cherry season but Mother Nature is in charge so who knows.
We had been home 5 minutes when a client called and wanted Colin to fly to Calgary to photograph a 6 million dollar home and maybe another one. Well all our plans for the next 3 days went up into the air. It took a few hours to reschedule appointments and book a new flight, rent a car, etc. So at the moment Colin is now leaving early Thursday AM and who knows when he will be back. Hopefully he will come back with my new car 🙄 It took a few hours to arrange for all the photography equipment to be flown to Calgary.
Our life is never dull. Hopefully once Colin heads East I can once again start relaxing. As Ken & Margot will attest to, we never do anything major, like buy a car or a home or an RV unless drama is involved.
It is now 9:30PM and time to make our dinner. When our lives get this active food is pushed to the side. However wine is a priority. I leave you with the view to the west.

Always a little drama in your lives, but you seem to thrive on it, Mice that you back is getting better and you will soon have your new-to-you car.
