Wow, diesel is way less here in Arizona.  So far we have paid 2.759, 2.549 and 2.849.  Hopefully we will find a good price tomorrow as we pass thru Tuscon.

It has been an amazing day. I do have to say it seems very hot here for this time of year.  We had both A/C’s going to cool it down once we stopped.  I expect that the temps will drop overnight.

They have all kinds of stuff to sell here. Something for everyone. Normally I find the prices too hight but tonight we found three pots that will look great on our site in the Isla. I wil take a photo for you once we have them planted.

I will take a photo for you once we have them planted.  The irony is that they were made in Mexico for sale in the USA.  I was happy to buy them as they are perfect and I know I would never find something like this where we are in Mexico.

Most intersting engine on a semi in the parking lot.

Funny, we stayed there on our northbound trip this year in March. It does have a rather unique shopping spot doesn’t it?

Have fun – we are following along.

That tree is a Palo Verde…

Lucky you went through there when there was no wind. Two weeks ago, we went through there and the wind was unreal. We fueled up at that station which was also experiencing a huge downpour. No shopping this time for me! (But I too bought a pot and a roadrunner ceramic)

Too many years to count, I rode my bicycle through Gila Bend in the month of May on my way to San Diego from Indiana. I have always loved the terrain of Arizona.

Kelly beat me to it…the Palo Verde tree, or “green stick” is Arizona’s State Tree. It is most beautiful in the spring, when covered in brilliant yellow blossoms.

Aren’t the palo verde trees interesting and unique? I really enjoyed seeing them in Arizona while on my trip out there. I love the way you are relaxing and enjoying the trip down to Mexico this year. You will be rested when you arrived instead of worn out. Easier to adjust to the climate change too.

I have also bought a few things at that store. We have a lot of palo verses in our area. We arrived last night and are looking forward to spending the winter here yet once again.
