As you know we have had iguanas around who love to eat our hibiscus.
This guy spent the last few days just sunning himself on the RV park beach fencing.
He is much larger than the one I have spotted on my plants.
Two days ago the girls spotted him.
This is not the first time they have spotted him as he has been in our yard off and on. They know what the iguana scent is. The iguana is sitting on top of the fence post, his head is in that small square at the top.
But it is the first time that they have been able to corner the critter.
They would not stop their baying and barking.
Quite the commotion.
Somehow it got away and we corralled the girls into the yard. Colin saw it go into our drainage pipe. The girls know it is in there and have dug down to the pipe thru our pea gravel. Caeli is checking everything over in fine detail.
Carmeh wants to get the iguana so badly that she actually did jump over the wall once. The worse thing possible for her fragile back. Can you see her panting pink tongue?
She really wants to get into that drain pipe. As you can see she was determined to go thru the fencing.
Here you see water running out the drain pipe. Colin put the hose into the top of the pipe under our RV to try and flush out the iguanas. Yes, plural. He saw three of them in there. The girls were hoping to catch an iguana but that never happened. The only thing that came out was a bunch of poop and some dead flowers.
Sunset came and the iguana situation calmed down.
Finally a relaxed end to the day.
Stayed tuned….the hunt is not over 😯

Scooter was a hunter and she loved chasing lizards. They get so determined and stubborn and will not give up when they are on the hunt. Skittlez would just be scared of whatever it was. Rocky Joe has a really strong hunting instinct so he is always on a leash. He would not come back I’m sure. Good hunting girls.
They are all so different but we love to watch our fur babies.
Nice entertainment for the girls and you as well.
Very true.
It’s like dog tv!
Exactly.
That is so funny. What great girls.
Welcome to the comment section of the blog. Yes we think our girls are pretty special.
Oh, goodness, do u think they would actually terminate them? (The iguanas) pups are sure on point!!!
First of all I don’t think they could catch one and then we wouldn’t let them have it if they did, iguanas have very sharp teeth.
They did used to hunt for sand crabs, Carmeh would do the digging and Caeli would then pick then up and shake them to death. We didn’t let her kill many, instead Colin would pick it up and put it into the water.
