Lost and then found
We were home by 1:PM Sunday. As we unpacked I asked Colin to contact our chiropractor as I was in tremendous pain. Lugging my rolling carry on behind me had set off something in my right shoulder area. I noticed it as we boarded the flight in Venice and it just got worse. Even Tylenol 3 would not touch it, not even wine. I just dealt with the pain as I had no choice. I envied Colin sleeping on the flight from Toronto to Vancouver as I could not even lay back against the seat. Both Venice and Toronto airports are a zoo with miles of walking involved. We are so fortunate to have a chiropractor who will see us at anytime, even on a Sunday at her home office. My muscles had done something and I was bone on bone in one area of my shoulder and I had a rib head poking out. So glad I saw her as the pain has receded but I still have twinges and need to carry on with heat and ice.
We had made a quick stop at Costco on the way to her home for a few groceries as the fridge was bare. Just as we were getting in the car to leave Costco I spotted something silver on the ground. It was a white gold diamond tennis bracelet. I picked it up and brought it home with us. Yesterday morning I called Costco to report that I had found a bracelet in case it had been reported lost. Not fifteen minutes later I received a phone call. The lady described her bracelet between sobs. It was a very special gift from her husband and she was overwrought with the loss.
As is turns out Alvira was coming our way later in the day. She came and it was obvious that she was the owner. She even brought a photo of her wearing it.
It was such a nice feeling to be able to help this lovely lady. A warm fuzzy ending to the story.
We spent yesterday getting caught up with home and business things. Is a few days I should have time to start posting about our trip.

So glad you made it home safely, it sure sucks when flights fowl up. We made it home too, midnight on Sunday but spent the last 2 days getting the business back on track/picking up Buddy/groceries. It looks like you had a lovely trip. So nice you were able to reunite the owner with the bracelet, sounds like a nice lady.
Wow! How cool was that? What a great story of helping and kindness. She looks so happy! It must mean a lot to her. Good on ya!
As for your pain, sorry to hear about it and it must have been bad even after taking wine 🙂
That was a quick trip glad you enjoyed it and managed to make that you lady smile again.
Good karma never hurts. Hope you bones will behave for a while…
Hello Contessa,
What a good story about the bracelet. You took the time to inform the store of your find in the parking lot, you made someone very happy and gratefull plus making a new friend and to top it off, a great picture at the end. Really liked that post.

Our son flew to Yellowknife on Saturday morning via WestJet, his luggage did not. I found out that on Sunday afternoon he still had no clue where it was. I went on social media and finally got some help. Seems his bag was in Montreal, this was Sunday. He only got the bag on Tuesday afternoon. Such appalling service. Glad your home, so looking forward to your pictures and stories.
Cheers.
That picture of the two of you made me cry. What a good deed and great outcome.
The person who’s bracelet you returned will never forget you or your kindness.

So good to get something back that was lost… Good feeling to facilitate that.
