A huge noisy beast almost ruined my party

Yesterday  ( ** Wednesday, Nov. 29th ) I was having a happy hour/dinner for the entire RV park when this thing crashed the party.

The noise made it difficult to talk and you had to raise your voice so the person beside you could hear you.

First he moved sand around along the road and the be began to go back and forth directly in front of all the RV sites.  We have no idea why nor the purpose of this exercise but the RV park owner was there directing all the activity.  This morning we are still pondering the purpose of it all.

It seemed to go on and on.

We were all sitting waiting for the noise to end.

I waited for close to 25 minutes and finally decided to have everyone start helping themselves to all the food  they had brought.  We had a lovely variety of snacks including many fish dishes.  It ended up being dinner for all 24 of us.  Sadly two of the new arrivals were missing due to illness.

How often have you seen a sunset with a grader featured front and center?   He finally left  after about 50 minutes and no he never got any food.

It was another special sunset and once the beast left we were able to sit and socialize as we nibbled.

Some folks drifted away after a few hours but others stayed and the party continued.

Colin played for a while and some French songs may have been sung.  Things wound down by 9ish.  A good time was had by all.

*******How  bizarre,  I just found that I had not published this post this past Thursday.  It was already to go and I never hit publish.  Sorry about that.  I will do a few in the over the next day to catch up to real time.

Well at least we were able to visit with Bill. I actually also spied you across the Plazuela the prior Friday while we had dinner before attending the opera Carmen. Soon we will have to set a firm date to meet.

Glad that you enjoyed you party anyway, looks like a great time.

It looks like, despite the noise, a good time was had by all! Life’s a beach…

  5. What bad timing for that grader to start up! Sounds like a fun night, food music and friendship is best (the margueritas/wine don’t hurt either)

Contessa, probably all the wine and margaritas helped a little with the irritating noise. If the RV resort owner was there supervising and noticed you were pitching a party, one would think he would have added 2 plus 2 equals 4 to know that the equipment would have been a disturbance. However, such is Mexico!!

P.S. Invite him to the party next time to keep an eye on him; even if he declines, at least he will know you are having a party and won’t plan for an earth mover!! LOL!

We have a saying here “TIM” . This Is Mexico. People just look at each other and say TIM 🙂
