Busy beach day

The tourists have arrived, most of them Mexicans.

The beach was busy. Lots of banana boat rides, horseback rides on the beach along with the rented ATVs.  I think the beach vendors did well.

I was feeling much better yesterday and we went for a very long walk. Other than a handful of ATVs we were not bothered by anyone as we went quite a way down the beach. Usually these very tiny critters are under the sand. This one is visible making his pattern.

This is the first ‘dangerous’ jelly fish we have seen this year and there was just the one on the beach.

I never tire of watching families enjoying the wonders of the beach.  As you can see we have more cloud than sun but that isn’t stopping anyone from having a good time.

Even this bunch was laughing as they pushed.

In full disclosure I have to tell you that I did not take of photo of a nice sunset.  I had wandered down to the other end of the park for a quick chat but was invited to sit and have some wine.  Time passed and suddenly it was sunset and my camera was over at our site.  🙄  😆

  1. We´ve seen a couple of those stranded in the sand while in Mazatlan. Mexicans don´t seem to take it so hard.

Glad you are feeling better – the sunset in the previous post was beautiful – thank you for sharing. Every year there seems to be cars that get stuck in the sand at the Isla. I wonder if it is always new people getting stuck but I also have to wonder why they feel it is necessary to drive on the beach in the first place.

Happy New Year to you and Colin

I do think that it is new people coming to the beach for the first time that get stuck. Also the road just leads down to the beach and then they are committed unless they stop and back up which very very few do.

Looks very fun. I am missing Mexico.

Remember the busy beach there and the crowds, always fun.
Glad you had a good day.

  5. Very busy beach day! Sounds like you have more energy now though. I was in Mazatlan one Christmas and one Easter….Easter was definitely noisier (except the fire crackers) and busier. Seems like everyone and their brother were partying.
