It was a wine kind of day

Colin did a wine count the other day and we have more wine than we can possibly drink before we get back to Canada.   So I had to sell some extra.  I sent an email out to the white wine drinkers that are still  here on the Isla.  Three replied yes and I found three others here in the RV park.  So I sold 19 bottles of wine today for the exact amount that I paid for them.  I still have about 6 more bottles to sell and I am pretty sure that I can sell them.  It still leaves a lot of wine for us to drink before we reach the border.  I guess I am up for the challenge.

Today I went to visit Ann and say adios to the puppies.  They are for certain going to the shelter tomorrow morning and she has made her own arrangements to go with a few others so instead of us driving them in they are going by truck taxi, lancha and pulmonia.  She plans to stay as long as she can with them tomorrow.  It is going to be difficult for her to leave them behind.  There is a possibility that one of them may already have someone interested in adopting her.  But first they must go to the shelter, be checked by a vet and dewormed etc and spayed when the time is right.  Yes, it now appears that all three may be female.  I hadn’t seen them for five days or so and they have really grown.

I did manage to get a few chapters of a new book read mid afternoon.  We did have some drop in visitors as well as a few wine buyers so it ended up being a rather social day.  Plus semana santa was getting underway so lots to see.   I was able to manage a wee beach walk so will have some photos for you tomorrow.   I’m feeling a bit better but still have a horrid cough each morning.  Counting on me seeing a huge improvement tomorrow.  We are on the countdown.  Only eight full days left.  The sunset yesterday had some nice color.

Oh my that is a real tough job, trying to get rid of all that extra wine, but I am sure you will be able to manage.

Happy hour will have to be a bit earlier the next few days!

  3. Get pictures of the puppies, Contessa. Yes, they are female alright. Sorry I’m not there to take advantage of your wine sale, would’ve been fun.
Perhaps if I’d been there you might not have had so much on hand 😉

  4. Don’t know how this autocorrect came up with “get” but I meant to say “great” pictures of the puppies.

  5. The time goes by so fast. The good memories last.

  6. Another beautiful sunset on the books. Now you know if you bring too much wine there is never an issue selling it lol. Those puppies….so cute, glad they are growing well and will soon have new loving homes.

I usually have some wine left but not this much. Never hard to sell it here as the wine here is not very good and the good wine is expensive.
