More garden work
We spent Saturday sorting out the garden area.
The only way we could leave our hose attached to the faucet was to get a double hose connector from the RV. So Colin sorted that out and figured out a way to fasten down the hose along the edge of the walkway. The green boxes belong to our neighbor, someone we have yet to meet.
I concentrated on weeding. Look at the root on this one.
Colin also dug up even more of the grasses close to our plot. I later sprayed what was left with vinegar and I am happy to report that they are dying.
We took a chance and planted our tomatoes. I can’t wait to start eating them. I am sad to miss the day to day changes in the garden but hopefully I will be pleasantly surprised when we return.
We also worked a bit more on fine tuning the trip and sorted out things like chargers, battery packs , voltage and power converters, etc.
Getting excited 😀

Contessa, I’m not sure where your garden plot is located in relation to your house, but if it is convenient as to location, could you hook up a soak hose for your garden plot while you are gone and ask someone nearby to check it now and then? We do that for our little tomato patch when we are gone more than two weeks and have a neighbor check it for a break or turn it off if there is an over abundance of rain.
We are in the process of working on a solution. Appreciate your suggestions.

As soon as the to do list is completed the holiday will start. We are getting more excited everyday.
Contessa does the vinegar kill dandelions or everything? You are quite on top of everything and I can tell you are ready to take your European vacation. You should have a wonderful time there as the month of May is so wonderful there.
The vinegar kills the dandelions and the grasses that we have sprayed it on. I only used regular vinegar that has 5% acid but you can get heavy duty vinegar with 10% acid which would do and even better job. Do not spray it in your actually garden.
