..it was a perfect long weekend. Highs of 32C and blue sky. Colin even managed to slip away for 3 quick photo shoots.
While relaxing with a glass of wine Monday 5:00PM ish we were treated to our very own air show. The Canadian Forces Snowbirds had been brought into Kelowna by the Rotary Club for a 30 minute air show. They flew right over our home.
So Colin just hopped up and went to the front door to take these shots. Of course had his camera been nearby the photos would have been spectacular, yet something good still has to be said for the good old point and shoot. This is the first time since 2007 that the group has performed in Kelowna.
Sorry but more puppy photos...no to the many questions, Hilde is not ours but belongs to friends'. She is so precious that we would love to steal her.
A free for all....
I know..if you are not a weiner lover these are too much...that's it for a while.
The final piece of the house has been removed so we have our perfect view back.
Photo of our area taken by Colin about 7AM one calm morning. You can see why we love living here (until mid October that is)!!
Idle thought….while having our coffee this morning Colin made a comment on ‘where do all these retired people go’. Everyday the cars start up and come and go and go and go. Don’t people ever just relax at home anymore. We work and yet leave our home far less than most. Same on the Isla, we are content to just stay and enjoy!

Love all the pic,s especially the fun the dogs, are having especially puppy running behind with ears flopping in air, they are sooooo cute!!
Great pics with the point and shoot!
Even thou we move every couple of weeks we are content to stay where we are most of the time end enjoy. Don’t need to run everyday all over the place!
Glad to see you finally got your view back! I’m with you, I enjoy staying at home. Every once in a while I need to feed my soul and will want to visit faraway places but other than that I am content on just staying home and taking it all in 🙂
That picture of the “flying” doxie is the best picture ever. We sit a lot normally. I love to just relax.
Great shots, thank you for sharing and for all your posts on my website.
I do a deep research during the winter planning the next trip and are enjoying it almost as the trip itself.
There is nothing wrong with people doing things but it’s those start up their vehicles over 8 times per day that I don’t get. Do your errands in the one trip! Sorry, just my rant for now.
Man, I’d love staying home with a view like that!
Love the pictures of the dogs and the very last picture of the scene that Colin took in your area. It is just beautiful.
