Que Pasa

I read my news online. When I saw an article on Isla de la Piedra the other day I never expected to see the following.  Click here for the article.  What truly surprised me was the second photo.  Actually I was shocked to see our girls in a recent news article.

It is a photo of our girls and we both remember that day on the beach with the horses passing us by.  Someone must have taken the photo from my blog.  As far as we can remember it was taken 3 – 4 years ago.

Yesterday passed in a blur.  I was going to read part of a book in the afternoon but I only got 20 pages read before someone dropped by and shortly thereafter another visitor.  Everyone is wanting to stop and say hola and to catch up on the last six months.  I don’t have a lot of photos but I do know that we got even more done in our yard.  Pretty much down to getting plants and pots but that will come in a few days.  We did take the laundry in and clear out the rest of our bodega.  We make a big decision to let the dog fencing go.  There is no point in storing it for the next few years so the materials will be given to someone on the Isla who might need a fence or a pen for a dog or even a small child.

Eric dropped by to deal with an emergency RV electrical issue for a neighbor.  He had some spare time so he installed our fridge fan.  It wasn’t an easy task with the cramped space but it is nice to have that working again.

Someone was getting engagement photos done at sunset.

It was a nice enough sunset but I have a pet peeve this year.  When they put the net fence up this year they used a wide and tall post (lower right corner) which is in in my way on 90% of my beach shots.  First time that has happened.  I will have to ask them to change it when they redo it next year.

I forgot to check back to if see if a wave wet them.

How many steps did you walk today?  I bet if you could get 21% interest at your bank for walking 10,000 steps every day, that you would do it.

Not quite true but close:)

Yes good to see our friends. Not so sure about the fridge though. I still have a large ice buildup in the tray. Will have to check that with Eric.

That is not as lovely a surprise as I would have liked. Please contact those jerks now and tell them that if they want to use your photo, they have to a) host it themselves (they are currently stealing bandwidth from you) AND they have to give you a photo credit.

If you hover over the photo and choose open in a new tab, you can see that you are taken here, evidence that they are thieves with no respect for photo usage etiquette: https://i0.wp.com/www.contessajewall.com/oldblog/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/IMG_2255.jpg?w=696

If you want, I will post a comment in their comments on your behalf.

Thanks for catching this. I was able to trace this back to my post of January 20,2014. I had my blog administrator send them an email re using my bandwidth.

Wow that would have been a surprise to see that picture of the girls and what a lot of gall they had taking one of your photos!!! I do at least 15,000 steps a day and really wish someone would reward me with a high interest rate … and I love the comic about the RV slides 🙂

  4. I think there was a fifth wheel that had a telescoping bedroom slideout a few years back. Great pic of the kiddos!

  5. I don’t want to start a contest, but many of your blog pics appear on Google Images including the dogs. So, I’m not sure how you can copyright everything or anything at all that is on a blog. Yours is an actual webpage and I am guessing you can. That said, I think it’s cool that the picture appeared and at such an appropriate time, just returning to La Isla. What harm?

Really as in, seriously, you have seen my photos on other sites? The copyright thing is not as much of a big deal as the use of my bandwidth each time an image is opened.

There was no harm Chris but mostly an emotional shock at seeing my girls on social media unexpectedly.
