Quiet Saturday!

It all started with…

...the first meal of the day. We just love the fresh fruit we can get, literally next door, at this time of year. Word is that the apricots are ready!

We are laying a tad low today, as yesterday Caeli was once again bitten by something, not sure if it was a bee or ???.  We were at friends who had some Claritin which I popped into her mouth.  It helps contain the reaction.

Unfortunately Caeli was not feeling well. Her swelling, the reaction to the bite, was on her back this time but quickly subsided. However it's obvious she is in some sort of discomfort! She lay like this for hours.

The other strange thing was that Hilde, the doxie puppy, also got bit by a bee or wasp yesterday but she is 100%.  Thank goodness.

..but poor Caeli, who refused any of our Japanese take out veggies (most unusual) was still in distress all evening.

However this morning she seemed normal so we are just taking it easy.

It's about 4:45PM on a hot as in 32C sunny afternoon and Colin is working. So the girls are waiting his return which is going to be rather late, after dark. Caeli, the laid back one is sleeping but Carmeh is on watch. I had to share this photo with you....Carmeh is actually sitting on her sister's back!! I took this about 30 minutes ago and they haven't changed position.

So now that my post for today is done, rather late, but do you really care?….I am going to start happy hour on my own!  Unless you care to join me, that is?

By the way, can anyone explain why someone would have 3 yellow shirts, never mind having them all hanging on the bedroom door at the same time.?

I feel so bad for Caeli. I hope she’s still doing okay. Skittlez sometimes sits on Scooter but Scooter isn’t real happy about it. I’m a little late for Happy Hour. Hope you had a good one.

Stan has so many green shirts and blue shirts! It’s the only color he likes, so that’s just about all we buy. Once in a while I can throw in a maroon, but not very often. And forget about brown!

Yummy fruit dish and poor puppy she sure has a bad imune system for bugs etc.. Sara so far has never been biten or had a bad reaction to bites… Yes we do enjoy our Happy Hour,s tooooooo!!!”S”

  8. Glad to hear that Caeli is feeling better. Maybe dogs are like humans and some have allergies to bites and stings and have reactions to them while others don’t. Your breackfast sure looks good with all the fresh fruit.

Kevin & Ruth…..I think you are right about dogs and allergies. I’ll ask our vet about it next time we see her.

Susie…..well at least one doxie is reaction free. Looking forward to our wine sunsets on the Isla!

George…..actually Colin just really likes color!! Must be his artistic side. You are always invited to happy hour!

Larry….keep an eye out….2 fruit bowls on their way via UPS! Just love the selection at this time of year.

Marty…..Stan is a man with his own mind, he knows what he likes.

Sandie….our fur kids always give us something to think about. Sorry you missed happy hour!

Elaine…I think only Colin would wear 3 yellow shirts over 24 hours. I’m being a good kid other than the wine that is.
