Painting the RV
This past summer Colin noticed that the edges of the roof and the cap were peeling.
Sort of like a sunburn. Gosh those solar panels look dusty.
This is the roof cap. The fellows did an excellent prep job.

They sanded, they filled, sanded again and then washed everything just before painting.
They were very detailed in the masking.
As well as protecting the RV next to us.
They took a piece of vent in so they could match the two colors they needed to paint. The colors were an exact match and the paint quality was excellent.
They did two coats of paint and two coats of clear.
We had some paint bubble around the mirrors and Colin had those areas sanded and painted.
Using a hair blower, attached to stick so they don’t step on the paint, to dry the cap area. It was late in the afternoon and the dew was starting to fall.
Very meticulous.
I’m sure you know that it wasn’t me on that roof taking this photo. I believe that this is the clear going on.
We were impressed with their masking.
After the four coats were dry and the paper was removed you could not tell what areas had been newly painted. It blended in that well.
This all happened around January 24 – 25th but I had so many in the moment things to post about first 🙄 We plan to use them again next season to do a few other touch ups around the windows.

Again, I am always amazed at how creative the Mexican worker is. Looking. forward to seeing pictures of the final product. Was this their main job – painting? Do we think Canadian workers would come to where you are parked and do the same thing? I think not and if they did the price would be sky high. So happy you could get the work done there – almost wants one to drive to Mexico to get many types of work done! We have two satellite dishes that were painted by a guy on the streets of Neuvro Progresso that are wonderful but no paint brushes were used, just spray cans of paint, sticks, garbage bags, etc.
These guys are professionals and usually only paint cars. Our RV’s would not fit into their shop. We have seen many levels of vehicle painters here and these are the best of the best and do charge more but are so very worth it.
Nice to get the painting taken car of there in Mexico. They do excellent work and for a very reasonable price. We know from experience.
Prices not cheap for Mexico but the way they do the job is why we hired them. Still much less than back home.

They only painted the roof edges, the roof cap and the area surrounding the mirrors. Other than tote ares our RV does look pretty good. Send us an email re pricing if you are serious. Someone here only got the front and back painted and the basement doors done. It does look brand new. We can find out the prices for you. I will post those photos in a few days.
