Packing, packing and packed

The first bit.

Looking emptier.

Where did the plants go? Where did the patio furniture  go?

Power washing the dust screen. It does a great job of stopping  the dust as you can see.

Ann stopped by to say adios.  She enjoyed her glass of vino blanco as I kept power washing.

It was a bit more difficult to get this section done.

This morning Ismael was otherwise occupied and was unable to help Colin take down the dust screen.  Somehow he did manage on his own.

Between us we got a few repairs done to the screen and got it wrapped up for storage.

Then the two taxi trucks came along and it was time to load up our stuff.

Both trucks were full.

Colin got his log / piece of art moved to a safer area on our site.

Off to the bodega.

It was a busy day but we got it all done including a few minor repairs by Eric.  Colin washed the car and the RV.

Phew what a day……tomorrow we hope to be airborne….

Drive carefully and SLOW – the ride home until San Carlos is
ROUGH – if you come through Nogales just letting you know Mountain View has made some good changes. back row has new electricity, grounds are cleaned up. Cow Palace is closed for good. too much damage last fall from flash flood. got a few drips of rain yesterday. no clouds this a.m. But pretty cool.

I always appreciate your advice. Thank you for being the first one heading North. We arrive via Nogales but always leave via Lukeville/Sonoyta. Thanks for the info re the upgrades. We will check the out next November.

  3. Wishing you safe travels and a nice time on the road. I guess the site you occupied down there in Mexico is not rented to anyone else until your return? It sure looks like a lovely spot. All the best in the coming days.

Thank you Marlene. Our site is open to anyone when we are not there. We only rent for the months that we are there.

Pemex tonight? We are with you…
Take it easy. I thought the section up to the first toll was dreadful, very rough.

Used my new camera to zoom in to white pelicans on the Salton Sea, wow – love it. Took it to Slab City and Bombay Beach and got some shots. Getting more familiar with it and am so happy you got me on to this handy Cannon.

Of course we are at the Pemex! You are correct that bit of road was rough. I get may new camera Saturday. Yeah !!!

Nice to get things accomplished and that looked like a lot of things made the checked list. Safe travels as you head out.

You and Colin are a team and a force to be reckoned with – what a lot you accomplished in one day. Wishing you smooth roads and traveling mercies all the way back to Canada but sadly we have heard from friends that the road to Nogales has its problems along the way. Have so enjoyed your posts from your Winter home and will look forward to your post from Europe. Blessings to you both.
