Working on replacing my broken plate.
On our second last night on the road I dropped a Corelle dinner plate and it shattered. You can read about that incident here. Recently I have begun to try and find a replacement. Not an easy task and none are in Canada. What surprised me is that my pattern, Callaway, is considered vintage 😯
It pays to shop around. I think the best I can do is wait until early October and hope that some of these deals will still be out there, then I can pick it up as we head south in the fall.

Is there anyway I can help with this? Please let me know.
Yes Sandy I remembered that you offered your help earlier when this happened. I will get back to you if I don’t find anything in early September. I plan to have whatever I purchase shipped to and RV park in Vegas.
Available on eBay but expensive!

Wow, Croft, you actually looked online for me. I am touched.
Hi I have a complete set of 12 and all the accessories. I love this pattern. We call it Corelle. I even have to cookie jar and all the bowls, teapot the whole complete set. I love it. Hope to keep it for many more years. Hope you find it in some of the stores. They were in the Walmart stores for awhile. Good luck.
Lucky you Kathy. Don’t suppose you want to part with one of your dinner plates? Do you really carry a set of 12 in your 5th wheel? Most Rvers only have a set of four.
Good luck with replacing you one plate, It does pay to shop around.
Yes it does, I can’t believe the range of prices.
What about buying a new pure white set? The older Corelle tends to shatter, perhaps it’s time to start anew? I see it occasionally in the thrift stores, not your pattern though that I can recall. You can get whole sets of newer Corelle at Canadian Tire for $40-70 depending on pattern.
Great idea. However I have read that even the new ones are shattering. I will decide in September. If I can’t find a well priced replacement I might buy a new set.
Contessa, I found your pattern on replacements.com actually located in Greensboro NC. The plate is $11.99 and standard shipping in US is $8.99.
Just another option to consider.
Thank you Linda. I think I am going to wait until September and see how availability and prices are then.
Hi, In Australia they don’t sell them in very many shops now as they shatter. I had a set for our caravan, and a couple of pieces shattered- what a mess! I decided to donate the rest to charity because I didn’t want them shattering again in our caravan. Good luck finding your replacement, unless you decide to go for something different.
Great to hear from you Rosie. This is the first time we have broken anything since 1998 but oh what a mess. I am still hoping to find just the one plate.
I see you stop in Las Vegas regularly on your way south…..we were just in Boulder City, NV (a few miles south of LV) and found a huge cache of “vintage” corning and corningware things in an antique shop called Goat Feathers. I was looking for a piece I had broken and found no less than 6 of them at Goat Feathers! Perhaps you could call to see if they had your pattern and then make a little detour to pick it up when you’re in LV?
Great suggestions Sue. I will give them call and see if they have it or could check. Looks like a big place. I love old corning ware so it would be worth a stop.
Hola, Amiga,
If you want to have the dishes shipped here, i will hold on to them in the Winnie either until fall when maybe I can intercept you on your way south, or send them to you at a place in the US when you are somewhere along your way. Let me know if I can help!
I truly appreciate your offer. I think I will wait until closer to September and then if I find one at a reasonable price I will have it shipped to an RV park..
