Spectacular Sunset Yesterday

We have had an unusual number of pelicans feeding just off shore this past week.  Entertaining to watch.

The start of the spectacular sunset.

The Norwegian Joy heading into the sunset.

A subtle change in color.

Sadly I could only see the sunset from inside.  Colin indulges me each time I ask him to go out and take a photo for me.

Yesterday Colin had an appointment for the second time within the past month with an eye specialist.  He has what he describes as a constant irritation in his left eye.  It is a tiny bump on the inner part of the eyelid.  He has been using prescription eyedrops which helped for a short period of time but the irritation is still there. Yesterday the eye doctor told Colin that his next suggestion would be to freeze Colin’s eye then he would invert his eyelid and give him some shots of cortisone for the irritation.  The doctor said that the irritation is a type of conjunctivitis caused by perspiration.  Colin said no thank you to the two needles.  Today he is in correspondence with our eye doctor back in Canada.  What a pair we are!  He stopped at the mercado on his way back and returned with some fresh dorado for dinner as well as one half kilo of shrimp which he had them peel and I quickly deveined them before freezing the shrimp for a future meal.

This time we dipped the dorado fillets in egg and then in Italian breadcrumbs which stuck perfectly.  Colin grilled the fish on the BBQ mat and it was melt in your mouth perfect. We are managing to eat well.

    Glad you’re feeling better.
We may stop by tomorrow for a quick visit if you’re up to it…probably late morning. Will send a msg first.

  2. Very lovely sunset. Great idea for the dorado. Maybe I should do that tonight with some cod we have…

Just love to see the Pelicans as they glide right above the ocean in a long line – of course watching them dive is fun, too. Enjoyed the sunset photo as always. That dorado looks good. So sorry to hear Colin is having trouble with his eye, ouch.

Not only are these pelicans diving over and over they are making their unique cry. So much fun to watch them. Right now Colin is applying multiple hot compresses per day which is giving short term relief.
