Are you getting bored?

We are not.  Tomorrow is our last full day in our 14 day isolation period.  Wednesday means its time to get out and check the garden area, for me to get my head back into work mode and open our mail that has accumulated since we left October 25th and then start thinking about personal and company taxes.  Once I get everything get caught up then I might get back to having some spare time.

I came across this link today. Over 1.4 million books have been made available in the brand new National Emergency Library created by the Internet Archive, a non-profit digital library of millions of free books, movies, software, music, websites and more.  It is open to everyone anywhere in the world.  Take a moment to see if there is something you might like to read or watch.

Strangely this spring we have only seen three geese. Two males ( who love to fight and make a great deal of noise ) and a female.

For those of you who are missing traveling please check out this link. I received this from Online Travel Centre today. They have set up links to several virtual tours such as the Athens Acropolis Museum which we visited last spring. There is a link to the San Diego Zoo so you can watch the animals on webcams, another to a virtual dive in the Florida Keys or a virtual safari in South Africa and several others. I am looking forward to checking out the tour of the Sydney Opera House in Australia which I may never get to. There is something for everyone so be sure to check it out and have some fun.

Everyday, mid to late afternoon, they come up for a lawn snack.  I just caught these two as they were flying away.

They were not happy at being chased away and left a turd to remember them by. Colin did the clean up.

I had arranged for our window cleaner to come by on Thursday but cancelled him today. Neither of us felt comfortable having him in our home. We have no idea whose homes he has been in and how careful he is with his sanitizing. We could have had him just do the screens and the outside windows but Colin says that he will do it himself. He is not working so why not. Colin is becoming very handy, he spent yesterday doing a deep clean inside. Where do those dust bunnies come from when you are away for five months?  Meanwhile I was on the phone with some government agency straightening some mess out, it took hours.

So glad that this comes in white 🙂 We actually found one N95 gently used mask in our shed when we got home, so that is good to have on hand. We were able to find some surgical masks in Mazatlan before we left so we are well stocked.

I am always touching my face so this is good advice but I think that two glasses of water will do the job just as well or perhaps one of each.

Please remember to keep social distancing.

So glad that the jokes are giving you a chuckle. I don’t think that Colin and I will ever be bored, so much to do.

  2. The Vancouver Aquarium has webcams too, my favorite is of the jellyfish 🙂 Not getting bored as still have a lot of business. Need to do our personal taxes (turbotax) as just got the last forms we need. Every day is filled with something. Last night it took an hour to wash and groom Buddy. We do this every 7-10 days depending on season and just brush him or his teeth every other day. I also have some month end accounting left, some painting etc and lots of yard work. And books! I’ve got lots of reading material for at least another month or two. There is a little free library one street over, thinking of taking some books Mom and I have both read there and to see if they’ve got anything for us to read (will leave in garage for a week to kill any germs). I can’t get into watching too much tv right now. I guess we are fortunate we still have so much to do, life is not that much different for us yet except not spending time with Mom/friends.

We will have to check out that library, thanks for the link. We have a lot less geese at the park this year than usual, maybe the egg addling is working.

Rex check out the link for the National Emergency Library this morning and I suddenly heard music and asked him if they were singing in Japanese – they were! We listened to a couple of song before he went on to something else. Thanks for sharing that link.

Love the cats on the roof! Enjoy your first day out but use care in where you go and what you do.
