Our resident robins have arrived and they are so happy that they haven’t stopped chirping for hours and hours. Such a lovely sound.
Today I never left the house all day and barely got off my recliner. The only thing that motivated me was to get water, to get an ice pack, to go the bathroom, to get lunch, to get an ice pack and later wine and to visit the bathroom yet again. Not exciting but healing. Colin played a variety of guitars throughout the day, pulled out the patio furniture in the hopes that it will warm up soon and visited our garden.
A few people out enjoying the lake yesterday.
We got back from the garden yesterday afternoon and then Colin took off to the RV for a few moments which turns out to be over two hours. I was so fortunate to see this lone visitor. Where is its mate? I had hoped to see a tundra swan and here it was. It spent the rest of the afternoon going back and forth in front of our site. Today it was nowhere to be seen.
Such beauty in front of our spectacular vista.
RV Days out of Summerland are being very creative with their marketing. I can’t see anyone taking advantage of this.
Happy Easter everyone, even though you are on your own – hopefully.

Yes, those swans are lovely. They overwinter here and only recently flew off headed back toward the arctic. We had one in the animal rescue centre all summer last year as it had feather degradation and couldn’t fly. Fortunately, after lots of love and attention, it was released when the flock came back this winter to be with them. More of our parks shut this weekend, I wonder if we will even be able to take our kayaks out this year for lack of places to launch them. You are so lucky to have such a fabulous view (and we are so lucky we have a nice big yard, not feeling sorry for myself, just loving your view). Happy Easter
What a great story. So glad that the swan was rehabilitated. I am worried about this one being on its own. Hope it is not lost. We are both fortunate to have a lovely place to live. I realized that I likely won’t be able to get into a kayak or the canoe this summer because of my knee. I can barely get out of the bathtub. Next year for certain.
Beautiful pictures.
Know what you feel like through this Isolation period.
Wishing you both a Safe and Happy Easter.
It’s about time.
Thank you Rick. Hope you both had a peaceful Easter.
Happy Easter to both you and Colin 🙂 Beautiful picture of the swan.
Never saw the swan yesterday but it was back late this afternoon. I am worried that it is lonely being on its own.
Happy Easter to you both. Enjoy the beauty and peacefulness of your surroundings and stay healthy!
Happy belated Easter to you both and the fur kids. We love our home and views and are thankful everyday that we live here – even if it is an RV park.
Happy Easter to U & Collin; lovely view of the lake U amigos have ( wish I had such a panoramic Scenery on my backyard). I had a good laugh while reading the ” Notice from the Psychiatric Association ”, muy bueno!
My regards: Lucy.
Thank you Lucy. Glad you got a chuckle.
Lovely photos – each one is special.
Happy Easter to you and Colin.
And back to you mi amiga.
Happy Spring to you and Colin. I always find comfort in the quote below. I think it is appropriate for what is going on now. We all need to be kind to ourselves and each other. (I wish I knew who wrote it so I could give proper thanks)
PEACE. It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of all those things and still be calm in your heart.
Hugs and stay well.
Thank you and great thoughts.
