From Frost to Waterskiing

I truly hope that this morning was our last day of frost.  We woke up at 6:10AM to the sound of the renter next door scraping his windshield.  So thankful that we held off with our garden planting.

Guess what came back home yesterday?

Yikes, the cart was so very close to getting wrecked.

Very good turnaround.  Nice to have it back so soon.  We will be needing it over the weekend to carry our plants and flowers over to the garden.

As I was walking past yesterday I noticed once again how lovely our bathroom window looked.

No written menu last night but it is fairly obvious what was for dessert.  I have vowed to only get lemon meringue pie rather than bread, donuts, butter tarts or cinnamon buns when they are being offered.  This is the best and my body really does not need all these wonderful home cooked treats – other than the best lemon meringue pie in the world.  Yes this one is more than double in size than the last time.  Good for two nights of after dinner sweets.

The first of the season and they were out about 10AM this morning. Winter must have seemed very long for them.

Brenster as he is now known as, has reinvented himself south of 2 borders in Mazatlan Mexico, writing and singing songs that reflect the lifestyle that he truly loves, about the sun, sand and the sea. The banner across the photo is the name of a new song he just released on April 17th, relative to the pandemic that is surrounding us.

Click here to listen to this newly released song. Then just click on the arrow and you will have full audio and video which adds to the music.

A special welcome to Judy, a new blog reader who has been following along since just before we left for Mexico back in October.  Because I have been adding in a few Covid – 19 graphics with each of my latest posts, she sent me this one and I decided to share it with you all.

Very good Judy and thanks for sharing.

Thanks for posting the link to Brenster’s latest song – enjoyed it. Although we have heard of him we had never heard him sing. We just never seemed to get out at night when we visited Mazatlan – just too many things to do in the daytime.

The pie looks good – some years Mom would make me a sour cherry pie for my birthday – I miss that as they were so good.

Hmm sour cherry pie, never had the pleasure. We have never seen Brenster in person but this is a great song.
