ON AGAIN ? ! !******
After spending an hour this morning planning my flight to Edmonton on Dec 26th I got the news.
Mom has just been booked for her heart surgery in 2 hours. Hopefully she will be leaving her room at 11:30AM for the OR. There was a cancellation for the heart surgery scheduled for this afternoon and they are prepping her right now.
Prayers for her surgery as well as it actually happening would be appreciated.
11:30 AM…..have said my goodbyes and good luck over the phone but she is STILL waiting!!
12:20 noon, Mom is IN SURGERY
4:30PM…..still in surgery!
6:10PM………STILL in surgery. Just spoke with Dad, he is unsettled as am I. The Dr. is suppose to call when the surgery is complete. The top two heart surgeons in Alberta are working on Mom. I just pray & hope they are not too tired.
6:50 PM…..surgery complete, Mom in ICU!!!
The surgeon said it went better than expected and I do know that you all had a hand in that, thanks dear friends.

I was away all day and just got home. The first thing I did was to check your blog to see what the latest status was. Oh my, that was quick! Praying that all goes well and you have good news to report to us. We’ll be waiting and praying with you, Contessa.

Just read your blog. Waiting is so hard. Praying everything is going well. These things really do take time to complete. Then the recovery area. Hang in there.
