First visit to the beach
Over a month ago on April 2nd we walked the girls to the small beach just off the golf course here in the park. Dogs are not allowed. However I have seen many dogs visiting there. As the golf course was not yet open we decided to take the girls. No one was around.
Just two days ago we again walked them to this very small beach area and they loved it and romped all over. Fortunately no one was in the area so we got away with it again. It wasn’t long before Carlie headed to the water. The lake is starting to rise because of the snowpack melt and there was no gentle slope to the water. She went from soft sand into about 6 – 7 inches of water. Colin and I both panicked, he was ready to wade in and rescue her. However she instinctively did the dog paddle and came back to shore. Of course she and her harness were wet but she just loved it. Needless to say we don’t have any photos of what happened. These girls are keeping us on our toes. We need to find a dog beach nearby.
Yeah we finally have heat and that is the forecast for the next few days. The garden is going to be very happy.

Looks like the pups really enjoyed their beach day! So nice to see things are warming up and you guys are getting out for walks.
The heat is so welcome after a cool spring. I am going to have to learn how to walk them together ( I used to ) but these two are still at the pulling stage.
Always fun watching pups learning new things.
Be Safe and Enjoy!
It’s about time.
They are so clever in how they reason things out.
So tiny! But, my, how they grow! Introducing them to new adventures is good for future traveling dogs. Do you take them for rides in the car? We made it a point to do that when we weren’t going to the vet for a future traveling pet we had. 🙂
Carlie is definatly larger than Ciela yesterday when I pick her up first she seems so light. Then when I pick up Ciela she is almost weightless, although they are only 1/2 pound difference. Yes they are growing. We take them with us when we go to the chiropractor ( about every ten days ) which is a 40 minute drive each way. Then I sisal do a grocer shop afterwards while Colin walks them.
You’ll have them all ready for beach walking and swimming on Stone Island next fall!
That is my plan.
