We have to learn to live each day to the fullest

Every day is different, some much better than others, and then the next day so very sad or upsetting. We are living in difficult times between Covid, the forest fires and more. All we can do is to try and get the best out of each and every day.

The twins are certainly living each day to the fullest. I just love how they are mirror images, well almost. Apparently this was a much needed sun bake moment. Anyone care to guess who is on top?

The past few days have been much cooler and the fire fighters are ever so grateful as it helps them do a more efficient job.  We certainly enjoyed  yesterday, very little  smoke or smoke smell. We could smell the freshness in the air. It was a wonderful boost for us all.

I like both shots so I put them in. After all it is my blog:)

Today was our 8 week hair cut & colour day.  No colour for Colin, he looks great as he is. Love that smile.

A family shot. Notice how Carlie’s foot is hanging.

And here is Tana, our very special friend and extremely talented hairdresser. If ever something should happen to us the girls will go to her.

Sunset just as we turned into the park this evening.

The girls had a good run in our yard once they got home. Then they needed a very long drink. How did they get so long?

Dance in the Street Friday Night @ 7 pm. This happens every few weeks. It would be fun to join in but we were still unloading.

Usually they stop and dance on the street but not tonight. At least not on our street. No one was out.

Fortunately the fires despite being out of control are somewhat quieter because the humidity has risen. This gives us hope that the fires may start to settle. We pray and hope that is the beginning of a bit of normality.

Oh, but I forget that Covid is on the rise yet again. As of midnight tonight, the lock down applies to the entire BC interior. Today the USA announced that Canada is still not allowed to drive into the US until at least September 21st. That tells me that with the increase of Covid cases based on the Delta variant that we are not likely going to be able to travel to Mexico yet again  this year 🙁

All we can do is take one day at a time and live it to the fullest. Who knows what tomorrow may bring, more Covid or more fire or something else? What about grasshoppers?

First COVID, then scorching heat, wildfires … what’s next? A plague of locusts, of course. Click here to read the article.

All we can do is to live each day to the fullest, who knows what tomorrow may bring. That means that it is us up to each one of us to do what we want to tomorrow and the next day and so on. This is the time to do something that you have always wanted to do. Only you know what that means to you. I am pretty happy with how I live each day. What would I change? Perhaps drink more expensive wines ( why not  – how long will I still be here ), perhaps eat more melt in your mouth chocolate on a daily basis and savour every bite. Life could be shorter than we expected. I spoke with someone today who is ready to move on a moments notice. Her car is packed, she keeps it full of gas and she is willing to sleep in her vehicle if need be. I asked her what direction she might head out to.  She had no idea. Turns out that she had recently moved here. I suggested she head toward Vancouver if she had to leave.  She had no idea which roads to take from here to get there. Please be kind to the elderly near you and do all you can to help.

Totally agree with you, a day not lived to its fullest is a day wasted!

Ciela is on top. I was just thinking that the girls looked longer. Nice to see the sun shining and not cloudy from the smoke. Nice family pic.

Yes Ciela is on top. You can see her shaved tummy. Well the sun shone for just a day or two. We are back to clouds and smoke but cooler temperatures, thank goodness.

The worst of the fires ares till out of control and they are what are keeping us smoked in. The BC government is still asking people to not come to BC because of the fires and Covid!!
