Talk about a blast
Lazy Saturday afternoon paddle. Hazy with smoke.
We had some sunshine this morning but it was a cool at 61F. While Colin was walking the girls a storm blew in. At first some light showers with wind. My first thought was the wind affecting the fires but I have seen nothing in the news. Hopefully it wasn’t too bad.
Then the heavy showers accompanied by gusts of 30 to 37.
The storm past and that is when I noticed that a portion of our fence was down. The fence has been stabilized for now but we will need the fence builder to do some repairs.
The girls are free now to do as they want. Of course that is running and jumping and wrestling. They will now have to be retrained to be left alone.

That wind was freaky yesterday. I was worried about the fire as well as trees coming down in the park but it seems neither happened, which is good news. I really think the cooler temps and the rain has helped with the fires.
Now that they are restoring power that will hopefully freeze all the rotten food in peoples houses. I feel for them because they are all going to need new fridges and freezers and they are hard to come by right now.
Good point about the freezers and fridges. I am just becoming aware of how many things are not available including tires and brass irrigation connections.
