Mazatlan, the port, as seen from the Isla

We took a different narrow road the other day and saw this. I think that the boat and the tree on this empty lot may be partners for a long time.

Fishermen are constantly repairing their nets.

The Norwegian Bliss in port and in the foreground the locals are repairing their nets.

Even along the side of the street.

I wonder if these containers are stuck here like so many others are all over the world.

Sunset on January 7th.

I have never been on a cruise ship but man, do those things look huge! Do the fisherman sell their fish along the street when they get in or do they already have restaurant buyers lined up?

Some have up to 6000 passengers, we have been up on the malecon and watched them pass by so close that you could touch them. Crazy huge.

Sometimes the fisherman will sell to us gringos, some just fish for their family and perhaps one or two restaurants here on the Isla. But there is place for them to sell them to a broker here on the Isla and they are transported by refrigerated truck to Mazatlan. They will sell to us but you need to buy the entire fish not just a fillet, too much fo runs with just an RV fridge.

      Just echoing Lucy’s thoughts.
I hope all is well and it’s just the “normal” no internet or power.
