Looks like we have a third family. Can you see the two tiny goslings behind mamma in front. They do addle the eggs here in BC and so I am pleased to see that we have threes families on the lake this year.
For the most part our weather remains gloomy and unspring like. Two logs on the lake.
The girls came in from their morning business and right away sat in the bed next to the heater. They just have to be missing the heat of Mexico. Today is the first time that they have refused to go out in the blustery conditions.
We had a very nice sunset the other day, it was the calm before the next storm.
Colin worked outside the entire day Tuesday setting up our yard for the summer. He was frozen and battered by the constant wind. I helped for about 90 minutes before I came back inside.
The lake continues to rise.
The plumber arrived 45 minutes late first thing this morning and then less than 10 minutes later he left to deal with an emergency at a local hair salon. They had a burst pipe and of course water was spewing everywhere. I left to do my final preparations for the weekend ahead and left shortly after he did. I have no idea what time he got back but once I returned Colin left to see our chiropractor in Vernon – first time since October. Before Colin got home the plumber came to the door and told me that he was mostly done but needed to tweak something and that he would do so at days end and left. It is not 8:30PM and he had not returned. Of course he will eventually come back as we have not paid his bill, which we have not yet received.
Today has been an extremely windy day. The winds never stopped. As you can see waves were coming up onto our patio. The winds varied between 30 kmph / 15 mph to 60 kmph / 40 mph. They wind and the waves continue. It was so loud that the girls moved away from the lakeside of the house.
Not too long ago our glider was turned over by the wind.
But we have hot water. I got a load of laundry done and had a lovely hot bath and washed my hair. Hoping for better weather tomorrow as we have yet to plant our tomatoes. We just may be over our nights with frost.
I am guilty of all but #4 and #6. I only just started doing #3.

Weather for certain has become very unpredictable— climate change in force,it seems. That hot bath & ability to do laundry, dishes & all the convenience we so often take for granted must have felt like a reward.Your list hid a chord as definitely fits most people— the shopping list though has been conquered by the App “ shoppers “ – very handy as it is easy to add items whenever & I always have the I Phone with me?.Now your business tax submission is complete ,your RV is fixed- enjoy the summer!

We are having the same weather here in Ontario. Cloudy and gloomy. Makes it hard to get motivated to get out and do anything.
Glad you have hot water!! It’s a wonderful thing. Down here, it’s hot, dry and windy, so there are fires. We’re due a cold front in a day or so which will bring some relief. Maybe it’s some of your wind and what’s causing all your too cool and unpleasant weather. Guess we’ll see. Here’s to improvement way up there and way down here!

Procrastination.
Worrying about things that will probably never happen.
