Que pasa

Well we have had a few, maybe two half days of sun but we also had a good deal of rain. Between that rain and the snowmelt which is late this year our lake  as well as other rivers, streams and lakes in BC have begun to rise. When the sun is shining everyone heads outside to enjoy it. Including the girls who are eager to sit on the front step in the sun despite the cool wind blowing in off the lake.

Peas prefer cooler weather and ours are growing well. I still have a full row to plant but not sure if I should wait or do it now?

On the last sunny day I went for a walk with Colin and the girls. I prefer perfect walking conditions. Anyway, we ran into this 3 year old pit bull in the off leash dog park. Fortunately it was on a leash which was held with two hands by the owner. This was a very quick hola and adios.  We don’t know this dog nor the owner so we left rather quickly. The girls were very calm.

I picked up a few wild roses while on the walk. I was born in Alberta and this flower is the official provincial flower called the Alberta Wild Rose. It holds its fragrance for a long time so I made a tiny arrangement.

The first produce from our garden.

Do you remember when the optical place had to replace my lenses because they scratched them putting in new nose pads? Well I am having a good deal of trouble with them. I went in once and was assured that they were exactly the same. However I continue to have trouble with the computer and even reading a real book.  Not problems reading on my iPad because I have the letters larger. I think I am going to have to go back in next week and get the actual focal point of the progressives rechecked. I am not happy that my neck is tilted so far back.

Our Honey Locust is finally getting fuller as the leaves get larger. I love the lime green colour.

So much contrast from the Mountain Ash.

We were somewhat concered about this canoe sitting so low in the water. Neither adult nor the dog in the middle had life jackets but the child in front, in pink, did.

It was a difficult paddle back going against the wind.

A reflective sunset to the east.

And then just at the end towards the northwest some colour.

Carlie totally relaxed laying on her back in my arms.

I was supposed to post this yesterday evening but the server that hosts my blog was down. It took me a while to figure out that it was not my computer. I was happy about that.
