Colin had a late afternoon photo shoot on Monday so us girls hung out outside in the shade while the A/C ran in the house. Of course they each needed their own bed in order to relax fully.
The moon on Monday.
We are ever so slowly reclaiming our beach as the lake goes down.
Colin set up the pool for the girls Tuesday morning. I think it got up to 98F yesterday. I suggested that he build a ramp so they could get into the pool. He was putting dog treats into that small container floating on the left. The plan was for them to go up the ramp and into the pool to get a treat. Instead Ciela somehow managed to get up on the edge of the pool but the bowl had floated to Carlie who got the treats.
They really wanted the treats but refused to get into the pool.
Ciela got up onto the bricks but did not use the ramp and of course she got the treats.
Carlie was frustrated. She would not get into the pool but she kept drinking the water as if to be able to get closer to the treats. They pool was in the shade and the water was on the cool side. Later when the pool was in the sun and the water was heated they had no inclination to go in.
Shortly thereafter Colin went off to work for several hours and it was so hot. However rather than staying inside the girls insisted on staying on the front porch in case Colin came back. They were in the one bed so I put another one out so they could spread out and possibly be cooler.
I can’t get over how they are always in the same position. A twin thing I guess.
Next thing I knew they were in the same bed. Carlie’s head is on the carpet.
Look at those feet. Remember it was about 98F at this point. I was inside at my desk in the A/C but they would not come in.
Next time I checked, they had switched beds.
The sun reflecting on the hills in the distance at sunset. Usually at this time of year this photo would show a dry baron landscape. First time since 2003 that I have seen green up there at this time of year. Ken, do you recall how dry this normally is?
Laundry day today and with the heat I was able to dry everything outside. However the towels dried to a very rough texture and not soft as I expected they would. No idea why? I wonder if the wind had anything to do with it.

We have a pool like that at home. Dakota loves it! Cute how they always end up on the same bed together.
It may take time but the girls will learn to use the pool.
Really like your Positive Outlook.
Be Safe and Enjoy!
It’s about time.
Do you have a tumble drier? Just put the towels in for 2 or 3 minutes to warm them up and then put them out to dry. I do this with everything and never have to iron clothes and have soft towels.
Thank you so very much for this tip. Laundry day is Wednesday. I love using the sun to dry but was so unhappy with the rough towels. Thanks for taking the time to share.
