Creeks spill banks…..

That is the headline on our paper this morning.  In fact yesterday the golf course here at Holiday Park Resort was under water. More than 50 millimetres ( 2 inches ) of rain drenched our area over the weekend, too much for the creeks and sewers to handle.

I open the RV door and we are greeted with heat and sun, the lake looks so peaceful.

Once at the lakeside we notice that the lake has risen close to 3 feet and branches and 'stuff' are becoming caught up on our rocks. Colin decided to try and clear what he could to prevent too bad of a future mess. Our beach is long gone.

That's good enough for today.....thank goodness our house will be raised on blocks. Many years ago the lake did come up and over the banks here and flooded right up this property, across the road and up to our old house.

Caeli is leaving the work up to us, sunbathing for the first time in weeks is more her style.

You better enjoy it Caeli because more rain is in the forecast……….

We better all enjoy that 27C today!

The Gulf Coast is getting it as well with almost 2 feet falling in Mobile, Alabama on the weekend! We are getting rain, but no downpours. Just enough to keep us from working outside for long. Nice today though!

  4. Sunshine and a water front lot with a view, looks good, just keep your head above water and all will be fine.
