Colorado Fires affect the Okanagan!

We started out with a perfect day yesterday, put our umbrellas up for the first time this season. Carmeh enjoyed the shade, she's between the two solar lights on the edge of the grass.

However this morning we have haze.  Actually is is smoke covering the entire Okanagan valley, come up from the Colorado fires.

Certainly a different vista.

  1. Its too bad about the haze from the forest fires, but its a good thing they are not your fires. Enjoy the warmth!

George….you are right, normally by now we do have some fires burning. That was one good thing about all that rain.

Connie…thanks, there are 2 pelicans, both commissioned out of Mexico. We got the turtle in the same area.

GLD.’s…No respiratory issues so far…..usually when we have our own fires that is when things become a problem.

Longdog 2…thanks, we do love our patio. This inversion is nothing to complain about considering what Coloradians have had to go thru.

Bob…dust from the Sahara….amazing. Mother Nature is all powerful.

Your patio area by the water is so pretty – love the pelican and turtle – hopefully the haze will soon go away – so sad for those who lost their homes in CO. Busy in DE – haven’t posted many comments lately but am thinking of you and can’t wait to see your new home in place. Best wishes!

  3. The GLD says:

Wow. Not good for respiratory issues. Is everyone holding out okay?

The fires have been so terrible and now their after affects have reached all the way up into Canada. When they have fires down in Mexico, it can get pretty bad in Texas too. Hopefully it will clear out soon. Your patio is wonderful.

  5. Bob says:

Well that’s certainly a mixed blessing.
Doesn’t help those with breathing issues.
    Hopefully it blows out soon.
We tend to get dust from the Sahara. Doesn’t seem possible.
