As I mentioned yesterday, we were putting up and opening up our sun umbrellas for the first time this summer.
Colin found a bat napping in the folds of our table umbrella.
He actually is a cute little guy.....but from a distance.
So as Colin swept the bat off the umbrella, I tried to capture a photo of it’s flight…..it was way too fast but I did happen to notice…..
...that the bat veered right back towards the open RV door!! Fortunately it latched on the outside of the open door and did not go inside. Lucky us!
Once we got rid of the bat by sending it over to the neighbors we went back to check out the rest of umbrella. No more surprises. We even had diner under it later that evening.

Once, years ago, our Taequondo club had a campout in some cabins-girls in one lodge, boys on the other. As we readied for bed I noticed a tiny bat way up in the rafters. I said, “oh look” and regretted the words as soon as they were out of my mouth. Something never to say to a room full of little girls. If I hadn’t said anything we all would have gone to sleep, including the tiny bat up in the rafters. The screaming was deafening! One of the guys had to come over and shoo it out. He came clomping in in his fireman’s boots and hat waving a broom. It WAS pretty funny!
Too cool.nice to have Batman visit!. Just open than umbrella more often and all should be good. Enjoy the nice weather.
Cute!
