Day of the Dead beings tonight!

THEY DON’T ALL COME AT ONCE!
In Mexico, the dead come home over 8 nights. Each soul has its own date to return. This is not Halloween.
Oct 27 – Our beloved animals
Oct 28 – Those who left without saying goodbye
Oct 29 – Those the water took
Oct 30 – The forgotten and lonely souls
Oct 31 – The door opens
Nov 1 – Los angelitos, the little ones
Nov 2 – The grown ones who know the way home
Nov 3 – The farewell
This is how we remember. Who will you light a veladora for?

I hope that tonight, we see our first 4 girls. I have been dreaming about them these past few nights. Sometimes I hear extra dogs walking about, as well as see an unexpected movement out of the corner of my eye.

Our # 1 Cloii in the raspberry collar and # 2 Channel  ( huge chest ) in the green collar.

They were all so special with unique personalities. On the right is Carmeh, our #3 and on the left is Caeli, our fourth doxie.

You will always be in our hearts. Thank you for the special memories.

in most of hispanic-speaking countries el Dia de los Muertos is celebrated on December 1st & December 2nd; Mexico seems to be the only country that celebrates it during several days.
