Contessa, what if you guys plant some Plumbagos on the side of the steps ? Check ’em out, they are colorful & drought resistant. Al comienzo necesitan unos baldes de agua, after ‘ they take ‘ they are on their own.

I like “Cool Jewall” and “Grasshopper” because it looks like one.
Also, planting Oleanders next to a public right of way is not good for animals. When neighbors would walk their dogs near my mother’s beach house, they would get sick when attempting to chew on these plants. But Oleanders are great at the beach to keep insects away. Dee Tillotson
