It must have been a very difficult time for you and Colin. News coming in from every direction, some accurate, most not or at least preliminary reports. I was monitoring the situation from early in the morning, trying to pass on verified information. It is still not over, the PV airport is still shut down with no flights in or out and many of my friends and friends of friends are stuck down there. At least the situation has cooled down quite a bit and people are making arrangements to get home or in some cases stay longer.

Can’t read the whole article but sad 25 people lost their lives. Sad for it to happen to PV or in any of the cities of Mexico. What was driving me crazy was all the wrong information out there and so many people believing it and passing it on. Times like this is when I HATE the internet and social media. Mazatlan was safe and they did take precautions as did other towns close to PV. I have friends who are flying out today from PV, airport is up and running! Thank heaves as we leave in 12 days to go there and looking forward to it. This is just a reminder about how things can be in a third world country. They handle things differently than we do in Canada for sure! Glad everyone I know is safe and can enjoy the rest of their winter!

Certainly hoping that things stay calm – all through Mexico.

Everyone I know is also safe but most will not leave their home after dark. But we have been living that way all winter.
