Where has the month gone? We arrived here two weeks ago yesterday. And of course 17 days ago is when I injured my right knee. It was better yesterday and again today. I started my kinesiology exercises three days ago. A different soreness but overall better. I have an online session booked with my therapist for tomorrow 😎 If I don’t get back into the program soon I will be so tempted to ditch the entire thing and just sit around. Hint, hint, I am asking for support and encouragement 😳

About four days later we had our first happy hour this season.

Not normal for us but there was an accomplished guitarist here in the park who was leaving the next day. Marilyn plays a twelve string guitar.

Sadly it was Grey Cup Day and folks came and left and came back.

Colin played his classical music at first and later backed up new comer Bruce.

Colin accompanied Marylin for a few songs.

Doxies basking in the sun.

I found this product on Amazon.

The product is safe for the environment and animals ( ?? ) but not humans!!!!!! It was suggested that a mask and gloves be worn and so Colin did. It seems to be working thus far. You have to Google the product for the details.

Sorry not a clear photo ( my fault ). This is a hole where we planted our latest bougainvillea.

The girls dug it out of the soil. I had hoped that it would live in this glass of water, but it did not.

…they ate most of the roots.

The replacement ( I really liked the colour of the first one ). It is now protected from over active doxies.

Not sure what day this was but yet another gift from Mother Nature.
Love the pictures and of course they dug out your plant! Lol cute things that they are! Looks like your settled in…so which means time to start the exercise program! 😉 no ditching it…you want to get better so you can walk that amazing beach! Good luck!
You are right Cindy, I need to do it but I have to dig really deep to get started. Really appreciate your input.
And now it is December already! Yes, continue your exercise program. Many days it is hard to motivate yourself to get it done but you do feel much better after exercising AND after finding your breath again. Anything you do is a plus. Your view and your sunset pictures are so beautiful – enjoy every day.
Where did the year go? It must have been extra difficult for you. We do love our sunsets. Likely the sunrises are fabulous but way too early for me. I promise to keep exercising.
Are there a lot of mosquitoes down there?
So cool that Colin played with the other musicians!
Different mosquitos then back home, smaller but only at certain times do they come out. The bigger issue are the noseeums at sunset and early morning.
I’ve been fighting hip and knee pain since I fell last March…joints ok but there’s constant aching. I think I’ll see an orthopedic doctor here. Interesting about the mosquito pucks. We don’t have screens so mosquitoes are an issue.
Let me know if you want the name of the surgeon that did my knee surgery two years ago. Sorry about the constant aching. It really drains your energy. No screens!!!
Hard to believe that those two angels could possibly dig up your beautiful bougainvillea, little rascals, I guess a live-and-learn moment. Your place looks so lovely and inviting!
Now, ask yourself, what would it be like if you could never walk that beach again with your girls and Colin? Contessa I generally don’t like to preach but that is exactly why I no longer live in Mexico, I lost the use of my legs and if I could go back and do all the exercise I possibly could to save them I would. Please do not give up on yourself, do everything to keep going forward, once it’s gone there is no going back.
Love reading your blog
The girls love anything from the ground, mostly veggies but that are also digging up palm tree roots.
Catheline, I had no idea. I often wondered why you stopped heading down to Mexico but it was not my place to ask. I am so very sad for you. But I do thank you for sharing this with me and my readers, you have motivated me for certain and likely some others as well. Hugs my dear friend. Please stay with me. Love your comments.
So great to see folks gathering and having fun. Joining in the comments, keep up the exercises and reclaim your active life. No shoulda woulda coulda, put that determination to work!
Thank you Janet. I will take your pep talk to heart. So happy that I can go back and read these comments.
Hang in there with the kin exercises. Your body with thank you and you will feel virtuous as well!!!!!
Go! Go,,!
Will do my dear cheerleader. Only 12 more sleeps until you arrive.
Thank you for sharing your wonderful photos and memories. Keep up with your exercise so you can enjoy roaming the beach:)
So true and that is exActly what I have to do. After all I am here because of the ocean and the beach. Gracias.
I didn’t keep up with my exercises. Now I need an electric mobility scooter to go anywhere outside of our apartment. Don’t be me.
But, if you decide to be me I can recommend a wonderful, lightweight, folding scooter for RVers. Check out Travel Scoot. It weighs 35 pounds. Mine fits in the back of our Honda CRV by just removing the seat back. It fit in our older CRV without modification at all.
Oh Linda, I had no idea. You have given me the inspiration to get moving. Thank you from my heart.
I’ve used those mosquito dunks for years. Bacillus thuringiensis, a germ that is bad for mosquitos and gnats, but not critters of any kind. I’m surprised that yours has a caution for humans. I’ve not seen or read that anywhere. Maybe in great quantities or something???
Re your knee: You know what you gotta do. I was in a slump about my back/leg thing lately, and a routine checkup brought me up smartly. Get going!!! I know what I gotta do too, but it does take a boost. And I”m no worse for wear after a couple of days, but I’ll sit around if left to my own devices.
You sound just like me – but I so have a sore knee. So lets challenge each other to move!!! We both need to press on and get moooooving. When you say gnats, shoed that includes sand flies or noseeums?
To echo everyone else’s thoughts, please keep up the exercises. You absolutely got this!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂
Just think a walk on the beach, then come back put your feet up and enjoy a cold glass of blanco vino.
I like the picture with the hibiscus, the colour looks like it’s glowing.
Sadly I can’t walk on the beach yet because of my knee. But believe me I so want wot be walking on it.
Here’s some encouragement for you, I want to see more dancing on the beach! Your body is your vessel to get you there. LOL the girls eating roots, typical. Looks like you’re having a fabulous time, wish we were there xo
I do love dancing. Thank you my friend.
