We are still waiting for the final supports for our palapa to be installed. Of course we paid in full so we are at the mercy of the builder. We did delay him a few days as we were worn out and just needed quiet time. He never showed up today 😯 Possibly manãna. It will happen when it does. We have really enjoyed our last few quiet days. The last six months have been an unsettling time and we are here to rebuild.
Monday I woke up with lots of energy and was eager to head to the beach. Ouch! Did I break my toe? It really hurts. Haven’t walked for a few days but can hobble and today I think that it has begun to slowly heal. I can move it just a tiny bit.
It was cooler last night with much lower humidity. For the first time since we got here we shut off the air conditioners. So nice to sleep with the windows open and no electrical noise.
We woke up this morning to a coolish breeze and left the windows open all day.
Later this afternoon three sets of strangers dropped in. All very interested in renting an RV site. Only one person was serious but she wanted to build a container home. I explained that we are only leasing year by year – but likely for 3-4 years at this point.
I finally had my massage yesterday. Wow, I had no idea how badly I needed it.
So as to the the TWIST ❗ ❗ I have heard ( first hand I might add ) that the people who were to take over our site at Tres Amigos RV Park, yes the ones for whom we were asked to vacate our site for one year, have been a no show 😥 So we were asked to leave for no shows 😳 We have only been here for two weeks. We were not asked if we would like to return, despite being there since 2009. No one in the second, third or fourth row sites in either park, were asked if they wanted a front row site – as has been the norm for many years due to seniority requests. Instead our site was offered to first timers ( never been here before ) who just happened to drive into the RV park 😮 What can I say? Thank goodness this new site was made available to us. So much peace, quiet and tranquility. No stress. We truly love it here.
I think you are much better off where you are Contessa. Muy tranquilo!
Glad to see things are calming down for you. Mexican RV park owners are a “breed unto themselves!” Same everywhere here. In our former park money was always the deciding factor. It looks to me, like you made the right move. We are pretty much settled in here and the cool is ever so welcome😊
Glad to hear from you. And glad things are settling down. Looks like you made a good decision for the next few years. Enjoy your life and enjoy Mazatlan with lots of pictures for us. Bill and Carol
Just look at u guys!!! That place looks really, really nice! Getting it fixed up for livability!
Hopefully the toes heel quickly! A few days of rest is always good for the mind, body and soul. I think you will enjoy the new spot a great deal. A lot less drama and worry! The pea gravel is definitely a saviour. Rest, drink wine, read, and just enjoy life. All things will get completed in time even if we think we need them finished now, I assure you, if it isn’t life altering it can wait until tomorrow. Enjoy!
I am so tired of all the drama. I can see that it is still circulating in the RV Parks. I plan to do all that you suggested here. Great advice.
Please, no more foot close ups. TMI.
We’ve been on a few Disney cruise ships: they always played When you Wish Upon a Star when departing a harbor. One of the things we liked was everything was family friendly so we were never embarrassed by the entertainment offered, yet, they offered adult only areas for when you didn’t want to be around screaming kids. Best of both worlds.
Never been on a Disney ship but I’m pretty certain once we are done RVing in about 15 years cruising will be next.
My gosh, the two of you have certainly turned it into your own little paradise in such a short period of time. Este muy bueno mi amiga. I personally think you will actually be happier at your new place! Big RV park’s big politics. This is your new canvas to enjoy your way ❤️
Thank you mi amiga. Love that thought, painting our own canvas. Don’t think we will get down to to see you this winter but for certain the next.
You made the right call your new home is amazing! Stressful, but a change for the better, enjoy!
Thank you Janet. Yes definitely a change for the better. I so wish that you were still bringing your RV down here.
Wonderful post; I think I can feel your happiness in the words you have written and the pictures you have posted…..well maybe not the toe pictures! Extremely happy for you and Colin; enjoy to the fullest your new location.
Yes the happiness is genuine. Thank yo for always being there for us. We hope to come and visit you in Rincon. We are still looking for a place a few years from now. Actually I think we will last this winter and travel next.
Howdyyy !! Love U’r new place, looks so relaxing, so quiet. Es muy lindo saber que ustedes cuatro estan disfrutando de tanta belleza. PS: what type of palm trees are those u guys just planted on U’r new site, they are pure beauty ! 🌿 🌺 🌿 😳
These mini palm trees were already in pots on our old site. They survived the summer perfectly.
I’m enjoying the delight I can sense from your posts. I guess everything happens for a reason. Keep your smiles. It’s so fun to read!
Thank you so much. Hard not to smile based on our environment. Are you going to be coming down this winter?
